Celtic and Stockport County share the points
Celtic managed to eke out a draw at Bowerfield when Stockport substitute Kayode Odejayi into his own net after Stockport had taken the lead with only minutes remaining.
Both sides had early chances in the game. Tempers boiled over occasionally in this feisty christmas fixture, a couple of bookings calmed things slightly. Aaron Chalmers and Dixon both went close to scoring, whilst at the other end Joe Garvin had a great chance that McMillan athletically tipped over the bar.
The second half started off at the same fast tempo with both sides both sides creating chances. Bohan Dixon volleyed a half cleared ball across the face of the goal which went narrowly wide. Peter Wylie also fired in a decent shot that took for a corner.
Stockport County then broke from the corner and Brewster took advantage of momentary hesitation between Wylie and Hughes to push the ball between them to Margetts, Margetts then picked his spot and beat McMillan to put County in thelead.
Celtic kept pushing forward, Chris Simm giving the County defenders a lot of grief, likewise Aidan Chippendale caused no end of problems firing in cross after cross, going close with a free kick, and then getting tripped just outside the box. Dale Wright fired in the free kick over the top of everybody and Matty Hughes nodded the ball towards the back post where Simm was coming in, but Simm was beaten to the ball by Stockports Kayode Odejayi who headed the ball into his own net.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw which was a fair reflection of the play.
