Stockport to Stalybridge "ghost train"

The one way service, nicknamed the "ghost train" that runs between Stockport and Stalybridge and stops at Reddish South,Denton and Guide Bridge ending in Stalybridge is the tenth least used service in the UK.

The service began in 1991 to stop the line from being closed down, there is just one train a week on friday mornings. A group of campaigners backed by Anndrew Gwynne, MP for Denton and Reddish and Stockport Council are campaigning for a proper regular service on this route to Manchester Victoria.
