Stalybridge Handmade Market took place for the 2nd time this year last Saturday 21st March in the beautiful old market hall.
The hall was buzzing with customers from opening at 10am and the sunshine was streaming through
the roof creating the perfect backdrop.  Over 50 makers. creators and food
producers sell at the regular handmade market, each month showcasing
traders old and new.  Live music was provided by Colette Todd during the
morning and in the afternoon making their debut performance at the market
were local guitar duo Maybe Frank.*

*MWL Events who  run the Handmade Market have now received approval from
TMBC to run the popular events in April and May and they're hopeful to
secure more dates during the course of the year.  Due to the impending
introduction of a Market Policy MWL Events are likely to be restricted to
running just 3 markets in the Tameside area.  Feedback from customers,
traders and local businesses is always positive and feelings are that these
markets must continue in Stalybridge monthly.  The market hall being used
for such an event is welcomed and it's great to see the town busy again
once a month - just how it used to be.*

*MWL events chose Willow Wood Hospice to be their charity this year and
raise funds for them by charging 50p admission into the market. "Another
£375 was raised on Saturday, taking the total so far this year to £725 and
we are grateful to everyone who came along and supported the market and
this great cause."*

*Due to the success of the handmade markets in Stalybridge MWL Events are
spreading their entrepreneurial wings and will be launching a brand new
Handmade Market in Bolton this Sunday 29th March at the Holiday Inn Bolton
Centre.  The market will run from 10am until 4pm.  There are 4 markets
planned to take place at this venue and other venues in and around the
North West are being sought.*

*The Stalybridge Handmade market will return to the Civic Hall on Saturday
the 18th April from 10am until 4pm and there will be a few special
surprises in store as the market celebrates it's 3rd year anniversary!  **For
