Ashton Market Hall crowned "best in Britain"


Ten years after being gutted by fire Ashton Market Hall has been crowned the best in Britain by the National Association of British Market Authorities with over 104,000 voting for the award. The Market Hall underwent A £16million refurbishment within the original building.

Tameside Council's Deputy Executive Leader Cllr.John Taylor described the award as "fantastic news" and Ashton Market continues to be modern and forward thinking providing a major focal point for Tameside. It has more than 140 stalls and offers free Wi-Fi for shoppers to browse the internet aswell as a large seated area for socialising.
