Tameside Rabbit and guinea pig rescue looking for forever homes for abandoned animals

Hundreds of abandoned rabbits like Casey and Joe above end up at Tameside Rabbit and Guinea Pig Rescue in Audenshaw.

Rabbit breeder Elaine Padley opened the centre in 2002 after deciding it was more important to save abandoned animals than set up a rabbit breeding business.

Elaine said " we desperately need to find homes for our rabbits and guinea pigs and also need donations of food and toys.

All of our rabbits and guinea pigs are neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before being re-homed we would also ask people to consider rescues before buying from pet shops and breeders."
