Tameside football round up Saturday 7th September


Hyde are still looking for their first Skrill Premier Division win of the season after going down 1-0 at home to Cambridge United.

Despite constant pressure on the visitors goal Hyde were unable to find the net and had Liam Thomset sent off for an elbow on Cambridge keeper in injury time.

Stalybridge Celtic also lost at home to Solihull Motors,Solihull were 2-0 up by a half -time.

Obi Anoruo pulled a goal back for The Celts in the 54th minute but Solihull extended their lead again in the 81st minute.

Anoruo scored his second in injury time but Stalybridge were still on the wrong end of the 3-2 score.

In the evostick Premier Ashton United beat Trafford 2-0 at home with goals from Lee Rick and Martin Pilkington.

Droylsden suffered their 6th defeat of the season going down 2-1 away to Kings Lynn.

Curzon Ashton, First Division North leaders,kept up their 100% record with a 3-2 win over Bamber Bridge at the

Tameside Stadium with goals from Simon Woodford.Mathew Warburton and Chris McDonough.

Mossley are still looking for their first win after drawing 3-3 with Radcliffe Borough.
