Martin Pilkington puts Ashton United into the lead in the 2nd Qualifying Round FA Cup tie at home to Witton Albion.

Gary Gee scored from the penalty spot to make the score 2-1 to the Robins and book aplace in the next round.

In the other  FA Cup ties Curzon Ashton chalked up an excellent 4-2 victory away to Marine with 2 goals apiece

from Simon Lakeland and Matty Warburton and Droylsden lost 5-1 at home to Trafford.

In the League matches Tameside teams had a bad day, Hyde lost 2-1 at home to Kidderminster Harriers,

in the Skrill Premier, Stalybridge went down 3-0 away at Brackley in the Skrill North.

 Mossley were beaten 4-0 at Darlington 1883 in the Evostick North.
