Tameside football round up March 8th


A mixed day for Tameside's teams! Scott Mcniven, Hyde's manager, looks on after another defeat this time at the hands of Halifax Town.

Hyde fc went down 5-1 at home to Halifax Town in the Skrill Premier,Alex brown scoring a consolation goal for Hyde. The Tigers could be relegated from the Skrill Premier next week if results go against them.

In the Skrill Northern stalybridge Celtic went down 2-0 to AFC Telford.

Ashton United picked up three useful promotion points away to Marine courtesy of a Chris Baguley goal in a close fought game. Droylsden added to their woes at the foot of the Evostick Premier by losing 5-1 at home to Ilkeston.

Curzon Ashton's march towards the Evostick first division North continued when they beat Harrogate Railway at home thanks to a fine goal by Ryan Brooke. Mossley moved up to 15th place In the Evostick North beating Ossett Albion 3-2.
