Tameside football round up March 15th


Wins for Stalybridge and Curzon Ashton points dropped for Ashton United and Droylsden and draws for Hyde Fc and Mossley in a day of mixed results for Tameside's football teams.

Hyde Fc kept their second clean sheet of the season and managed to get their points total into double figures with a creditable 0-0 draw away at Hereford in the Skrill Premier.

Stalybridge Celtic won 3-0 away at Vauxhall Motors in the Skrill Division North. After a goaless first half Celtic opened the floodgates after half time with three goals in quick succession from Regan, Platt and Crosdale.

Ashton United dropped three valuable promotion points in the Evostick Premier going down 1-0 at home to Barnwell. Droylsden went down 6-0 away at Grantham Town and are firmly rooted at the bottom of the Evostick Premier.

Curzon collected another three valuable points away against title rivals Farsley AFC courtesy of another Simon Woodford goal. Mossley grabbed a point at Cammell Laird after Carroll converted a penalty.
