Tameside football round up february 8th


With only Curzon not playing all the other Tameside teams were back in action after a string of postponements due to bad weather Mossley were the only team to win, beating Ossett Albion (above) in the Evostick North.

Hyde Fc were very unlucky to lose after being 3-2 up with only 20 minutes to go. Lincoln equalised towards the end and headed in a winner in injury time to claim all three points running out 4-3 winners. The result left the Tigers still looking for their first win in the Skrill Premier, The Hyde goals were scored by Connor Hughes who netted twice and Josh Brisell.

Stalybridge Celtic continued their slide down the Skrill North losing 2-0 away to Stockport County.

In the Evostick Premier both Droylsden and Ashton United lost, luckless Droylsden going down 5-1 at home to Ikeston and Ashton United dropped three vital promotion points going down 2-1 at Stamford,substitute Lee rick scoring for the Robins. The result leaves Ashton in sixth place level on points with FC united of Manchester.
