VANAMARA CONFERENCE NORTH

Already relegated Hyde fc entertained Bradford Park Avenue on easter monday and went down 3-1.

Stalybridge Celtic secured the three points  against Harrogate Town on Easter Saturday. Michael Powell and Aidan Chippendale scored in a fine 2-1 victory. THe win helps Celtic's fight against relegation they  go above Brackley on goal difference and within a point of Leamington, and two of Colwyn Bay with a game in hand over all three sides.

Celtic moved out of the bottom three and recorded their first ever victory at Nethmoor on Easter Monday and their first clean sheet since January with an emphatic win over Guiseley. Not a stuffy win but a deserved win, with two well taken goals, and but for the woodwork and Steven Drench, it could have been a whitewash. Celtic won 2-0  Aidan Chippendale and Alex Mudimu were the scorers. The great escape looks well and truly on.

EVOSTIK NORTHERN PREMIER

Curzon let three points slip in their promotion charge at home to Nantwich. It was one of those days for Curzon who on another day would have got something from the game but Nantwich stuck to their game plan and earned themselves their much needed 3 points.  Curzon had an away trip to their own ground. They take on the run away leaders, FC United on Easter Bank holiday Monday at the Tameside Stadium to hopefully get back on track to secure a play off place. Curzon would have settled for a point against the Champions elect before this game, given their previous record against FC United, but at the end they were disappointed not to take all three after a rousing second half performance during which they missed two sitters  curzon scorer was Ryan brooke and the match was played in front of a bumper crowd of 3,071.

Ashton United kept up their promotion push with a vital victory on their first visit to Stamford’s Zeeco Stadium on easter saturday goals from  baguley and  johnson. The Easter monday game at Hurst Cross saw the robins take another points against Ramsbottom courtesy a 70th minute goal from chris baguley to help their promotion drive.
