Ashton Rugby Club win their first senior trophy

Jack Pedder, who captained the clubs first junior trophy as a senior colt a few years ago,  proudly holds the Lanchashire Bowl trophy. It is Ashton Rugby club's first senior trophy in their 130 year old history.

Ashton put Birchfield under pressure from the off and as the game progressed to the last quarter Neil Oldham scored a second try which put them 26 - 5 ahead. Although Birchfield scored a try in the last 10 minutes Ashton ran out worthy 26 - 10 winners as the final whistle blew. The victory was celebrated by the large travelling support. 

Ashton have had a magnificent season with the U13's also winning the Lancashire Vas
