Denton St. Lawrence take maximum points

Denton St. Lawrence took maximum points for the sixth time out of seven matches at home to Dukenfield as they extended their lead at the top of The Greene King Lancashire County Cricket League.

Denton fielded first and quickly reduced Dukenfield to 37-3 with 20 overs remaining. The Dukenfield innings was at 104-3 when Denton bowler Mark Selby bowled out Dukenfield professional Wade Lezar (33 runs), Dan Crnmar then took the wicket of Gascoigne (36 runs). Denton's Batty then took 2 more wickets and ended his bowling innings with an excellent 5-66 as the Dukenfield innings ended on 163.

Dukenfield put Denton under heavy pressure during the early part of the Denton innings but could only pick up one wicket that of Mark Dillnott (23 runs). However as the innings progressed Denton rapidly uppped the scoring rate,  Adam Hawley quickly notched up  50. Matt scored two big sixes at the finish to see Denton win the game 165-1 with 12 overs to go. Hawley finished on 62 with Matt finishing on 70.
