Despite a spirited performance Curzon Ashton went down 3 -1 to National League North leaders AFC Fyldes at Mill Farm
Fylde went ahead from the penalty spot early on, but Curzon responded by creating their own chances. and nearly levelled the score with many
half chances until Hayden Campbell slotted the ball in the back of the net to make it 1-1.
On the stroke of half time, however, Fyldes on loan striker Faal's header put them back in the lead.
The game went back and forth after the interval with both sides having plenty of chances but as the game wore on Curzon goalie Renshaw was kept very busy.
Eventually Fylde scored a third through Faal again after Barrett's fierce shot was parried down by by Renshaw, only for Faal to find the net off the rebound.
The "Nash" still kept battling but were unable to pull back the deficit, leaving all three points with the "Coasters".
