The Bloods made a solid start to the season in the Evo-stik First Division North with a good away point at Harrogate Railway Athletic.
In a hard fought match Harrogate went into an early lead with a goal after 4 minutes. Droylsden then got a foothold in the game and looked to create opportunities, after 20 minutes, with multiple set pieces coming to nothing,  Captain Luke Sharry sent a shot over during a spell of intense pressure.

Droylsden had to wait until 63 munutes until the equaliser when Ben Hampson's header found the net from Mike Pino’s corner. Droylsden looked more in control of the contest in the second half, before both sides had golden chances to snatch all three points. The game ended all square at 1-1.

A good start for the Bloods in their opening game of the season
