Hyde FC have arranged a friendly at home to FC United on Tuesday, July 28, to mark the Tameside club's 130th anniversary.
FC United won last seasons Evo-Stik Premier title and the Tigers are now in the process of becoming fan owned too.
Andy McAnulty, secretary and director of Hyde United, said: “We are delighted to be playing FC United of Manchester to celebrate our 130th anniversary which takes place the day before.
“It is particularly pleasing that FC United have agreed to play us at a time when we are on the verge of becoming a supporter-owned club, as we move into a new era back as Hyde United.
“This match will round off a weekend of activities in conjunction with our anniversary and we are certain it will be another thrilling match between the two sides.”
FC board member, Alison Watt, added: “It’s great to see another local club embarking on the road to supporter ownership. It shows that supporters taking control of their club is a viable and sustainable option for the game and we hope to see other clubs going down this route in future.”
