The  Curzon Ashton squad is taking shape for next season with the news that Defender Jonathan Hunt, Matthew Warburton and fellow forward Jordan Wright have all agreed new terms to stay on at the Tameside Stadium for the Blues’ first-ever shot at non-league’s second tier.

The news comes as a boost for Curzon fans after captain Sam Walker was last week lured to top-flight FC Halifax. Curzon secured a second promotion in as many years with a play-off victory over Ilkeston at the Tameside Stadium last season and the fans are looking forward to next season. Manager John Flanagan and his assistant Ian Nevison will host a fans forum at the club’s Tameside Stadium on Tuesday night. The event will be held in the Inventive Leisure Suite (7.45pm start).
