The main purpose of the week is to work throughout the trust and across the Health economy with partners from the CCG, NWAS, Community Services, General Practice, Mental Health and the Local Authority to concentrate efforts on ensuring patients flow through the health system in the safest and most efficient way possible

As part of improving the experience of their patients with dementia Tameside Hospital has initiated activity boxes for each ward. These have been put into use recently on the hospital wards and are being used to engage patients. The activity boxes are part of a person-centred approach to dementia care.

Staff at the Tameside Hospital Endoscopy Unit, are celebrating the news that they have received the prestigious national quality accreditation for achieving and maintaining the meticulous standards set by the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on Gastro-intestinal Endoscopy.
