Markets Manager Nicola Martin said: “The Love Your Local Market campaign is a fantastic showcase to encourage people to get into their town centres and support local traders, who often offer unbeatable service, goods and value. Most people know Ashton Market - which has been named Britain’s Favourite Market for the second year running – is a thriving and attractive shopping destination but the touring food festival will put the spotlight on other Tameside town centres too.
“We also hope the ‘Trade for Free’ offer will give budding traders the confidence and boost they need to get their business ideas up and running while adding to the choice available to shoppers.”
