BLIND and partially sighted people and their families and friends are invited to come and make some noise with Tameside Libraries.

Make a Noise in Libraries fortnight, organised by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to bring public libraries and blind and partially sighted people together, runs from 6 to 14 June.

Tameside Libraries have organised an afternoon where blind and partially sighted people, their families and friends can meet up, find out what’s new in libraries and enjoy a special event.

This year the event will be on Monday 13 June 2–3.30pm at Dukinfield Library where Mr David Rustidge will be talking about Oldham Coliseum Theatre: a light hearted history and there will entertainment from Ravensfield Primary School.

The event is free and there will be refreshments, however places are limited,so booking is essential. Contact Dukinfield Library on 0161 330 3257 to book your free place.

If you would like to attend and require help with transport to the library, contact Tameside Sight on 0161 343 4090/6903.
