Tameside Council Cultural Services are leading a new creative project for ex service personnel.
The project follows a second successful bid for funding to the Armed Forces Covenant Small Grants Scheme and will see participants building costumes and structures during a series of workshops and taking part in the spectacular Manchester Day Parade.
The flagship event, now in its sixth year, involves over 2,500 performers and artists from local communities bringing Manchester city centre to life in a fantastic display of colour, sound and movement to celebrate creativity and diversity across the region. An audience of more than 70,000 are expected at the day of amazing structures, vibrant costumes music and dance.
Cultural Services are looking for Tameside veterans and ex services families as well as community groups who would like to take part.
