Seventy four year old Cllr. Dawson Lane, the Mayor of Tameside is parachuting himself out of a plane to raise money for Tameside 4 Good, a local charity which helps people and businesses to give their time to help local good causes.
The Skydive is taking place at the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Lancaster on Saturday August 23rd.
The Mayor said "I cant wait for the challenge, I am really looking forward to it . I worked as a roofer for 50 years so I dont have a fear of heights."
