Tameside and Glossop RSPCA full to capacity, urges prospective dog owners to consider rescue dog

The R.S.P.C.A's Glossop branch have had to stop taking in abandoned dogs because they are full to capacity.

The branch is run entirely by volunteers and has had no choice but to turn animals away.

Gail Hilton, one of the volunteers says she can only remember one other time in her 14 years that the branch has had to close it's doors. They are desperate for donations and people to act as temporary foster carers to the dogs. The branch are also pleading with people looking for a new pet to give a rescue dog a forever home.
