Night Golf at Denton Golf Club raises money for Tameside charity


The first night golf event was held at Denton Golf Club.

The event was sponsored by Marlborough Motors in order to raise money for Tameside 4 Good. In the six hole night golf tournament players used couloured glow in the dark golf balls and the Denton course was set up with glow-sticks marking the teeing-off areas, fairways, hazards, green flags and holes in different colours.

The night golf event proved a huge success raising money for good causes aswell as giving the golfers a new experience.

Kevin Burns won the tournament with 7 points on a card play-off with 4 points on the last three holes. Rhys wheeler came second with 7 points but 3 points on the last three holes.Prizes were donated by Denton Golf Club, Puccinis Restaurant in Ashton, Hazel Grove Golf Club professional, James Rowland, and Garcia and Sykes.

To round the night off guests were treated to entertainment from Tameside's got talent Winner 2012, singer Aaron Kincaid.
