Tameside College have raised over £1000 towards this years record braking "Children in Need".
The staff and students at the college organised a funday of fundraising to help disadvantaged children by selling raffle tickets, meals in the onsite Bistro and Reflections restaurant and a selection of Pudsey cake. Money was also raised at nail painting, arm wrestling, coffee mornings and fancy dress.
Business students set up a car washing business and by 11am had already washed seven cars and a motorbike for £5 each, this not only helped contribute to the fundraising efforts but helped them on them on their course.
Jackie Moores, Principal of Tameside College said: “I'm really proud of the contribution that all students and staff have made to support Children in Need. It’s great for the students to get involved, working together to make a difference and contributing back to their community, alongside having lots of fun!”
