The King George V Playing Fields in Ashton-Under-Lyne became a sea of colour on Sunday as supporters of Willow Wood Hospice all gathered to take part in their annual Colour run to raise funds.
John Fellowes, Head of Fundraising & PR for the Hospice said: “Following the success of last year’s event we have received a tremendous amount of interest from all over Tameside for what is really an afternoon of fun and laughter for both participants and spectators.”
The 5K Colour Run involved being blasted at various colour stations throughout the course and the hospice thanked all the sponsors who included Bella Italia and UK Decs Ltd, Tameside Radio and Mediskills, (who gave first aid cover and manned the colour stations). There was also a special thankyou to all the volunteers who helped either in the run up or on the day aswell as all the participants.
