Tameside College Staff Member takes on gruelling charity bike ride

Learning Support Officer for the Joinery team at Tameside College, Alan Wilson is taking on challenge of one of the most challenging bike rides in the country, the 1,000 miles trip from John O' Groats to Lands End.
Alan joined Stockport Community Cycling Club in 2011 after an  illness which kept him off work for three months.
 
Alan said"  “As I was starting to feel better I decided that I wanted to become fitter so I started cycling with Stockport Community Cycling Club every Sunday."
 
 
After cycling with the club for three years, Alan took part in the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride starting from Manchester United Football Ground at Old Trafford and finishing on the South Promenade at Blackpool.
