There was a great turn out for the Tameside Breakfast Business Summit on the 18th March 2015
The Tameside Breakfast Summit which took place on the 18th March was a huge hit with local businesses. The event was oversubscribed, with around 80 companies and 100 delegates attending. The event allowed local businesses the opportunity to learn about apprenticeships and also to learn more about the Leader’s business grants.
Tameside Council's Kieran Quinn outlined the new business grants which aim to help young unemployed people, growing businesses and also Tameside veterans. The Enterprise grant offers businesses up to £1,500 for creating jobs, apprenticeships and traineeships within Tameside. The Trade grant offers up to £1,000 and aims to help young people and apprentices get kitted out for work. This includes, specialist uniforms, tools or even to put towards a deposit for a work van.
This is the first of two business summits this year.
