Jim Mcmamamon owner of Jalmac Leisure (pictured here with Chesney off Coronation Street) is celebrating 15 years in business.
Here at Your Tameside we had the pleasure of interviewing Jim and listening to him telling us of his journey building up Jalmac his bouncy castle and events business. It all started in 1999 when he couldnt get hold of a Bouncy Castle to hire for a barbecue,so he bought one for £300 from Loot instead. Then he hired it out until it paid for itself, before long he was getting more and more requests from people wanting to hire bouncy castles and his business just took off.
Today Jim's inflatables are in great demand all over Tameside and Greater Manchester, not just bouncy castles but every type of inflatable you can imagine. Jalmac inflatables have been the focal point of many events, tv shows sporting events and functions. They have been used on many times at Coronation Street aswell as on the set of the recent Homelands TV series where Jim had to build an inflatable assault course! Jalmac inflatables have been used at the Urban Anthlon in Manchester aswell as promotion days at Manchester City also at a surprise event involving Sir Alex Ferguson organised by Manchester City Council and also at the local leg of the 2012 Olympic torch relay as it made its way across the country to the Olympic stadium. (See pictures below of some of the events Jalmac has been involved in).
