The next big production at Droylsden Little Theatre is"Blithe Spirit" which will run from Monday to Saturday nightly. The play was first performed in London's West End in 1941 and was later transferred to broadway,it was also turned into a film starring Rex Harrison and has many West End and Broadway reviews during the years.

The comedy is all about a novelist Charles Condomie who takes on a medium,Madame Arcat, hoping she will provide material for his new book. However, the medium wakes up the ghost of his late wife Elvira, who then makes mischief for Charles's current wife who cannot see the spirit.

The Droylsden Little Theatre Company is celebrating it's 85th anniversary this year. Tickets for Blythe Spirit are available from the box office on 0161 370 7713.
