Indigo Moon Theatre Company return to Tameside in a performance of "Aladdin" at the Frstival Theatre in Hyde.
“Aladdin” is thought of as a Chinese story, but the tale of Ala ad-Din actually comes from the Arabian Nights. This production places it in its original setting, the Middle East, and is portrayed as a place of mystery, enchantment and mythical creatures.
The large-scale contemporary shadow puppet show tells the tale of a poor street boy who falls helplessly in love with a royal princess. The audience get to follow his wild and dangerous adventures as he is caught up in excitement far beyond his control. By taking it back to its Arab roots, Indigo Moon Theatre offer a refreshing new angle.”
“Aladdin” will be staged at the Festival Theatre, Corporation Street, Hyde, on Saturday, October 31, at 11am and at 2pm. Each show lasts around 50 minutes.
All tickets are £6.25 (inclusive of a £1.25 booking fee), and are available from Quay Tickets on 0843 208 0500 or at www.quaytickets.com
