Before the kids go back to school Portland Basin Museum will be hosting their final Jolly Holiday sessions this week offering artist-led craft activities at a cost of 50p per child.
They can meet Tommy Atkins, a First World War soldier, and learn at first-hand how British troops lived on the Western Front between 1914 and 1918. You can see the weapons and equipment they used and hear about the food they ate and what they had to endure and take part in a host of craft activities.
All the events take place between 11am and 3pm.
