Tameside Cultural Services has arranged to stage Ballet Theatre UK’s production at the Festival Theatre, Corporation Street, on Saturday, November 22.

Featuring new choreography by artistic director Christopher Moore, more than 120 new costumes and stunning sets, it offers a new look at one of the most enduring and moving ballets of all time.

Cllr Jackie Lane, Tameside Council’s assistant executive member for culture, said: “Ballet doesn’t get any better than this. ‘Swan Lake’ must be the most popular ballet ever written and now the people of Tameside can see it on their own doorstep.”

“I would expect there to be a huge demand for tickets so I would encourage people to buy them as quickly as possible.

There will be a matinee at 2.30pm and an evening performance at 7.30. Ticket prices are £16 (adults) and £12 (concessions). A special group rate of £12 applies when buying 20 tickets or more).
