Former Droylsden High School student gets big break in the music industry

Louise Turner former Droylsden High school student has finally got her big break in the music industry by releasing her debut mini album "This is Turner".

Louise born and bred in Audenshaw has enjoyed a successful career as a session singer for the past five years,recordinng with the likes of Elbow on their prize winning album "The seldom seen Kid" and gigging with "Art and Soul" band DC Fontana for the past two years. However Louise always wanted to be a singer songwriter and pursue a solo career being inspired by her late father who lost his battle to cancer in 2006.

She said "my dad really pushed me to follow my dreams and as a former singer who didn't get a break he was an inspiration to me".Louise has become the first ever female solo artist to sign with respected indie label "Detour Records" and her six track album showcases different styles from Dusty Springfield to Scott walker type ballads.
