Plans to transform Stalybridge’s landmark former police station into apartments have been put on hold by planners.
The project to convert the building was put on hold by Tameside Council Planning Department at their meeting last Wednesday.
The plans involve 18 apartments being built in the building, and members of the planning committe voted 7 to 2 to defer the application by IDG prperties to convert the Police Station into living accommodation. Tameside Council are hopeful a solution can be found after they are able to study the final details in more depth.
