Thirty two year old Stacey Copeland, from Hyde, won a silver medal at the European Women's Boxing Championships In Bucharest.
Stacey originally played football for England's under-18's before having to quit through injury. She then decided to look for another sport after recovering from her football injuries. She grew up in a boxing environment and used to visit her grandads boxing gym when she was younger, her Dad was also professional boxer and he has now become her trainer. Stacey took part in her first professional fight over three years ago.
After winning the Silver Medal in the European Championships in the Welterweight category, Stacey has set her sights on the World Championship's in Korea at the end of the year.
